Within the constraints of prescribed syllabi, SVGOI attempts to offer an eclectic selection, a range of options for students. The future of the knowledge society of this century depends, among other strengths, upon the rigor of a strong Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Para-Medical Sciences, Education, Applied Sciences and Humanities orientation. Our Masters, Bachelors, Diploma & Industry certified programmes in these areas are our assets. SVGOI also offers Honors programmes in Commerce and B.Sc. (Non-Medical), B.Sc (Hotel Management), B.Sc (Fashion Technology), B.Sc (Agriculture). In addition, the college offers professional skill certified courses in: Computers, English, Computer Hardware and Network, Hospital and Admin. The college also offers a one year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Computer Application which is of the great importance of these fields of knowledge in today’s era.

SVGOI emerged as the top-ranking institution identified for Engineering, Management, Pharmacy & Applied Sciences as the best among colleges offering a degree in Education, a course included in the survey. SVGOI record of excellence and its pre-eminence in the field of higher education was acknowledged by MRSPTU, Bathinda and Punjabi University, Patiala both which gave SVGOI a top grade in its first cycle of grading. The institution has good academic and extracurricular facilities with well qualified faculty. The College has sophisticated laboratories, a well furnished library and good computing facilities.
