Program Overview

  • Harnessing electrical energy is a challenge for electrical engineers. The power-packed EE department inspires the budding Electrical Engineers with the potent idea of constructing Generating Stations, Transmission Lines, and Distribution Systems at economic rates and to design, test, and supervise the manufacture of Electrical and Electronic equipment used in electrical utilities, buildings, automobiles, air-crafts, radar, navigation systems, and broadcast and communication systems.

  • This field has opportunities in power distribution companies, power plants, railways, metro rails, the aviation sector, and, the manufacturing sector. Also, various government organizations like SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited), BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited), ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Company), PGCIL (Power Grid Corporation of India Limited), DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) and many others offer exciting job opportunities to Electrical Engineering graduates.

  1. Four-year course after 10+2: Student needs to have Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 plus one of the following subjects – Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject.
  2. Lateral Entry to the second year: Diploma holders in any engineering trade from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education or any Diploma Board.
